What's the difference between Linen Bags and Cotton Bags?

Understanding the difference is the best way to ensure that you are choosing the best material for your particular need or project. Both Linen and Cotton are natural fibers; Linen comes from the flax plant and Cotton comes from the cotton plant. Cotton fabrics are softer and fluffier than linen fibers, linen fabrics are initially more crisp but softens after multiple uses.

Because it's absorbency, linen is more breathable, making it a great choice for warmer temperatures. On the other hand, cotton is also absorbent and breathable but it can take longer to dry.

In short, Cotton is also a lot easier for screen prints and heat press than linen, while these jobs can still be done on linen fabric, more pressure should be applied for best results

Suggested Ironing Temperatures in Farenheit and Celcius:

If you are looking to heat press or iron on these linen bags, here is a suggested heat temperature.

Linen445 °F (230 °C)

Note: Please understand that this is simply a suggestion, based on past experience. Because there are a wide variety of heat press, irons and heat transfers on the market, it is HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you test first. If you're unsure about what temperature to use, start with a low setting and iron on the wrong side of the fabric with a pressing cloth. You can always gradually increase the temperature  to remove tougher wrinkles and still prevent scorch marks or stains.
